This is a very exciting year for us as we celebrate 50 years of GIUK on 19 May this year.  Founded at the Institute of Directors, Belgrave Square, London SW1 as the German Industry Forum by G Ahrens (Agfa-Gevaert), Dr Bernd Atenstaedt (BDI London), E Brueggemann (Wotan Lamps), D F M Classen (Huels UK), G K Freytag (Steel and Metal Products), H J Jäger (Mannex London), E J Moors (Robert Bosch Packaging Machinery) Dr H Ober (Carl Zeiss Oberkochen) W Ohlingschlaeger (Bayer UK), W H A Schanzenbecher (KSB Manufacturing Company), E Schmitz-Pfeiffer (Boehringer Ingelheim), D H Storch (Hoechst UK), K Sütterlin (ADS Anker Data Systems) and W K Wendland (Potash).  In 2004 we were renamed GERMAN INDUSTRY UK, today better known as GIUK.
